Gotta cut the habit…..

C is for COOKIE! and O is for OUT OF SHAPE!

Yes I think so…. Im out of shape, and I need to get back IN! And I don’t really care if you think Im crazy saying so. Im out of shape with my standards, not anyone else’s…

Have had i really BAD summer when it comest to food, and a really AWESOME summer when it comes to; food!!

NYC is great cuz you can get anything you want, at anytime… Now for a cookie monster like me, that means trouble. Where we lived we had TWO great bakerys, just around the corner from the Apt. So there was many days I ended with a BIG, HUGE, ENORMOUS cookie….

Back in sweden I have been on tour with GFMi since I arrived. And been living at good hotels, had GOOD dinners.. And daytime have I spent at conference centers, with GOOD food and all the pastrys you can think of…

On top of that, a friend and personal trainer said this the fist time we met after NYC; Fred, U have become a bit round… THANK YOU thank you, just what I needed to hear ;)

Alrigth, Diet starts monday and also my new training schedule so I hope to get back in shape for the NIKE BLAST 2011 in the end of january where I will be teaching a few classes. Make sure U get UR azzzz there!

Any suggestions on diet? gonna be tough to cut the cookies……

You have all seen it…. The ”tubby” trainer, and is still tubby although she/he is doing 5,6,7 or MORE classes a week! How can this be, training cardio that often and still be in worse shape than many participants?

For me as an instructor this was a mystery when I started teaching… Why did I not get more results? Im TRAINING MY ASS OF HERE!!!

I have written about this before at Fitness Magazines blog, but after getting back to sweden, I decided to write about it again. Cuz way to many instructors around the world are training to much, and don’t get any results and have no clue why!

Charles Poliquin and colleagues have identified The Chunky Aerobic Instructor Syndrome. Poliquin found that aerobics instructors quickly adapted to the workload of teaching classes, often performing three hours of exercise a day. Despite the fact that this is the equivalent training level of a professional athlete, the instructors still maintained disproportionately high body fat levels.  How do you break out of this and start getting results?

Well, Charles believe that You should implement a serious strength program, and stop doing or teaching so many cardio based classes. So, start eating more MEAT (or protein) more healty FAT, and get those weights off the ground!

I think It would be mandatory to do some kind of strength program if you are a professional instructor, you will FEEL better and stronger, INJURY yourself LESS and LOOK better in front of your participants, and be more credible in our role as instructors…

Do you walk the talk????

Cuz NOT ALL aerobic instructors are tubby, one of the best (and a dear friend) is THIS GUY and he is RIPPED, and still an awesome aerobic and step presenter. My favorite by far!

How MY food looks like….

I quite often get questions about my diet… And sometimes by people that knows me, the LACK of one… And I know that many bloggers post beautiful pic´s on their food. All green, healthy and pure AWESOME food…

Now how does my diet looks like? Well, we eat out 6 out of 7 days to start with, and I always choose what I feel for that day… Pizza, Meat, Chips, Fries, Thai. As loong as Im in the mood for it, it goes down. Then Im a HARDCORE sugar addict, no seriusly HARDCORE! I always eat dessert, cookies, icecream or whatever… ALWAYS!

Yeasterday was maybe not the best example, but kind of typical for my right now;

10.00Breakfast; bagel and milk

12.30 WORKOUT: BODYPUMP and extra LEGS in the gym

18.00 4 drinks (vodka and cranberry so it was full of vitamins!)

22.00 4 slices of cheese pizza, one footlong subway and 300 grams of choclate chips cookies and 1 liter of milk…

23.00 DEATH…….
